I built this app out of frustration.

After my coeliac diagnosis, I was sick of turning up at pubs only to hear "Sorry mate, just cider" or worse - nothing at all.

So, I'm building the tool I wished existed - a proper database of where to find actual gluten-free beer. Not just the mainstream stuff, but the good craft beers we deserve!

🏷️ Types of GF Beer

✅ Certified Gluten Free

Made from naturally gluten free grains (rice, sorghum, millet). Safest option.

⚗️ Gluten Removed/Reduced

Made from barley/wheat but treated with enzymes to break down gluten. Some coeliacs react.

🌾 "Made Without Gluten"

No gluten ingredients added, but may have cross-contamination. Check carefully!

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Cross-contamination can happen in breweries that also make regular beer
  • Always check labels and ask staff about preparation methods
  • Coeliacs vs Gluten Intolerant - Coeliac disease is an autoimmune condition requiring strict gluten avoidance

Every venue on Coeliacs Like Beer carries a tier. It's a quick answer to the only question that matters when you walk in: can I actually drink here??

💎 Diamond

Our partner venues. To be Diamond, a place has to be genuinely coeliac aware and have a designated tap for gluten-free beer — no shared lines, no guesswork at the bar. If you only had time for one pub, make it one of these.

🥇 Gold

Gluten-free beer we've confirmed ourselves, rather than taking the internet's word for it.

🥈 Silver

Gluten-free beer on tap or cask. A proper pint, poured properly.

🥉 Bronze

Gluten-free bottles or cans. You'll get a drink, but it's coming out of a fridge rather than a tap.
